“Hi I’m Nevaeh, the owner of Art & Wellness Nail Studio! I have been doing nails for almost 3 years, and everyday I am still learning something new. I graduated with my best friend, and owner of Casa De Unas, from First Class Cosmetology.

When I first went to nail school, I had no idea what I wanted out of it, I was kind of in Limbo living a very untraditional life for a 21 year old! I had just moved in with my long time boyfriend, and didn’t go the whole on-campus college way, but I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree I wasn’t sure I wanted to use.

When nail school was over, I knew two things, I LOVE doing nails, and I need this to be apart of my life some how. Whether it was full time, part time, just friends and family. I needed this creative outlet!

After getting our own suite (me and jules) we painted, set up, and then had to try and get clients. For a while I pretty lenient with boundaries, prices, etc. Trying to get a feel for it. Had clients come and go, while still working two other jobs. Then I started to hone in on what I really like doing, trial and error with different techniques, and some how I ended up with the amazing clients I have today!

So thank you sincerely to everyone who considered me for their nails, or even gave me a shot, and to all of my clients that are regulars today. Even though you guys are clients, I actually feel like we’re more friends, I always look forward to seeing my clients, talking, laughing, crying, and just overall having a unique interaction with everyone that sits in my chair. I could not, and would not of, been able to do this without yall!!”

“Hi I’m Juliana! I am the owner of Casa De Unas, aka Juliana’s House of Nails! I had always wanted to pursue something after high school that would make me feel full filled and that would be mine. I also wanted to set an example for my siblings as their big sister.

One of the best parts of going through all of the schooling, and the tests, and learning things out of my comfort zone, is the ability to do this for my friends and family. “

Why Nails?

I have always loved getting my nails done, it’s always been something that makes me feel complete. Having beautiful nails is a luxury, but over the years it seems a lot of places stopped caring about the glamour of it all.

Many times my nails had come out the other end as very weak, damaged, rings of fire. Sometimes the shape and design weren’t even what I asked for. I became really hesitant when it came to expressing myself through nails, and stopped asking for things I thought where “too much”.

This is why I decided to become a nail technician. I wanted to be able to give myself, and others, the options to express themselves with whatever they thought of! I wanted to be able to provide quality options for everyone!

Goals & Aspirations for my business

I really just want to do some gorgeous crazy nails, meet new people, and create a space that all of clients feel like they can take a load off and do something for themselves. I want all of my clients to walk out the door feeling like they just did that, cause they did, and they’re exactly who they think they are!!

More About Me

I am super family oriented, even if my family is untraditional. Me, and my Husband, just got married in October of last year. And this October will be our 1 year anniversary, but since getting married we have been non-stop busy with all things life throws your way.

We also got two dogs, Otis who we rescued on our honeymoon. And Penelope, who is from an Amish community in Indiana. They’re both Cocker Spaniels, and you might catch them at the suite from time to time.

We also bought a house! We where long needing an upgrade in space, because we have a full house with Juliana and my brother, Niilo, plus the two dogs.

My family lives pretty far from me, so it’s just me, my brother, and my dad. Luckily my in-laws live in town, and they are everything to me! While this sounds small, I’ve found myself some of the best people I’ve ever met and I am happy to say we are building somewhat of an untraditional family.

Family is chosen, its the people that show up for you, and you them. Deal with the ugly, keep it real, accept all parts of you, and still make you feel special and celebrate all the wins together.
